Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Library and Information Resources Network Protocol (ATSILIRN) (Australia)

The ATSILIRN protocols were developed in 1994 as a guide to good practice for libraries, archives and information services with materials in their collections associated with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The protocols provide guidelines on access, use and protection of collections material as well as appropriate and respectful ways to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The protocol was updated in 2008 to incorporate guidelines for the digital environment.
