U.S Indigenous Data Sovereignty & Governance Summit 2024: Local contexts
Members of the Local Contexts team will be attending and presenting at the US Indigenous Data Sovereignty & Governance Summit 2024. The Summit, organized by US Indigenous Data Sovereignty Network, will be held April 11-12 in Tucson, Arizona, with virtual attendance options available.
The Summit “will convene Indigenous leaders, Indigenous community programs, academics, policy experts, and other data actors and rights holders from across the nation, both in person and virtually, to develop guidance around appropriate data governance structures that support Indigenous Peoples’ own IDSov initiatives.”
Founding Executive Director Dr. Stephany RunningHawk Johnson (Oglala Lakota Nation) and Director of Outreach & Strategy Corrie Roe will present about Local Contexts in one of the Summit’s sessions.
