Joshua Shaw is a web and application developer at the Dartmouth Libraries and works with a variety of applications including ArchivesSpace, Omeka-S, Drupal, and other digital collection software.
Joshua created and continues to maintain the ArchivesSpace integration with the Local Contexts Hub. The plugin provides an advanced API integration with full support for Labels and Notices, providing end users with the ability to link projects in the Hub with ArchivesSpace records. The plugin also provides crosswalks between Local Contexts data and MARC XML and EAD metadata.
In addition to the Local Contexts integration, Joshua has contributed several enhancements to the ArchivesSpace application focused on reparative description and contextualizing and remediating material that may be harmful to marginalized communities.
