Library Working Group meeting

The next Local Contexts Library Working Group meeting will be held June 18 UTC.

In this meeting, we will plan to introduce our new Co-Chairs, welcome new and existing members, share updates, as well as lead a discussion around the direction and goals of our group.

Current and invited members of the Working Group should have an email and calendar invite with connection details. If you are interested in the group, you can read more and submit your interest on our Working Groups and Networks page.


The Local Contexts Library Working Group (LWG) connects library staff and scholars to support library-specific discussions and knowledge exchange around Indigenous data sovereignty, cultural authority, and use of the Local Contexts Notices and Labels in library settings.

The Local Contexts team will be attending and presenting at the 2026 International Conference of Indigenous Archives, Libraries, and Museum held September 21-25 in Spokane, Washington, United States.
