Canada Network/Biocultural and Sciences Working Group Crossover Meeting
The Local Contexts Canada Network and Biocultural and Sciences Working Group will meet together for a presentation on April 30.
For this meeting, we will host presenter Sandra Klemet-N’Guessan, a Postdoctoral Fellow at School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability at the University of Waterloo. Her postdoctoral research focuses on linguistic diversity and data stewardship practices in peatland research, in collaboration as part of the WAMPUM lab and Can-Peat network.
Current and invited members of the Network should have an email and calendar invite with connection details. If you are interested in the group, you can read more and submit your interest on our Working Groups and Networks page.
The Local Contexts Biocultural & Sciences Working Group (BSWG) brings together group members who work within biocultural research and related science fields around the world who are interested in or are already using the Local Contexts system of Biocultural and Traditional Knowledge Labels and Notices.
The Local Contexts Canada Network brings together First Nations organizations and representatives, institutions and organizations, and others located in / with connections to Canada to see how we can together support the momentum and interest for the use of the Local Contexts Labels and Notices in the region.
