Europe & UK Network meeting
The next Local Contexts Europe and UK Network meeting will be held Thursday, March 26th at 13:00 UTC / GMT.
For this meeting, we will host a presentation by Sarah Court, where she will discuss how UNESCO’s World Heritage Convention currently recognises Indigenous People, looking at how the theory is applied in reality to heritage places. Some current case studies will be used to show the range of ways Indigenous and other communities are finding ways to improve practice.
Current and invited members of the Network should have an email and calendar invite with connection details. If you are interested in the group, you can read more and submit your interest on our Working Groups and Networks page.
The Local Contexts Europe & UK Network brings together Indigenous community members and citizens, institution and organization staff, and others located in/with connections to Europe and the UK to see how we can together support the momentum and interest for the use of the Local Contexts Labels and Notices in the region.
