Northeast Network: Dr. Darren Ranco on Collaborations
The next Local Contexts Northeast Network meeting will be held March 31st.
We are excited to welcome Dr. Darren Ranco, who will speak to us about creating meaningful and sustainable collaborations with Indigenous communities. Dr. Ranco is a member of the Penobscot Nation and serves as the Chair of Native American Programs and the Coordinator of Native American Research at the University of Maine. His work focuses on fostering better research relationships between universities, Native and non-Native researchers, and Indigenous communities.
Current and invited members of the Network should have an email and calendar invite with connection details. If you are interested in the group, you can read more and submit your interest on our Working Groups and Networks page.
The Local Contexts Northeast Network brings together Indigenous community members and citizens, institution and organization staff, and others located in or with connections to the region to see how we can together support the momentum and interest for the use of the Local Contexts Labels and Notices in the region.
