TK & BC Labels Webinar

This webinar will introduce the Local Contexts tools for Indigenous communities to uphold Indigenous sovereignty and cultural authority. The Local Contexts Traditional Knowledge and Biocultural Labels add provenance information, protocols, and permissions for access, use, and circulation to data and collections. Developed through sustained partnership and testing within Indigenous communities across multiple countries, the Labels support communities to communicate existing community rules, governance, and protocols for using, sharing, and circulating knowledge and data. In this webinar, Local Contexts team members will introduce the Local Contexts Labels, how they have been used around the world, and if they might be a good fit for your community.

Registration is required and closes on March 31, 23:00 UTC.

This webinar is hosted by the Indigenous Data Exchange, Collaboratory for Indigenous Data Governance, Indigenous Data Alliance, Indigelab, and New York University Indigenous Data Law Lab.
